PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The General Operations and Business Manager (GOBM) program is a comprehensive program designed to teach students the skills and abilities essential to general operations and business management. Graduates of this program will be able to plan, direct, or coordinate the operations of public or private sector organizations, overseeing multiple departments or locations. The skills learned in this program will prepare them for formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources. Graduates will complete a wide range of coursework to include cybersecurity, sales, customer relationship management (CRM), accounting fundamentals, HR topic areas such as workplace violence, diversity and inclusion, and talent management. The program concludes with a course in the predominate business collaboration tool (Microsoft Outlook) and a 5-day capstone which prepares them for the Project Management Institute’s Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification.
