PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Human Resource Specialist (HRS) program is a comprehensive course designed to teach students the skills and abilities needed to enter the workforce as an associate (entry-level) in human resource (HR) management. Graduates will learn about many of functional areas of HR through short 1-day courses with a culmination of the program in a 5-day course which includes the Society for Human Resource Management’s Essentials of Human Resource course as well as prepping them for the HRCI Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR). Graduates may earn the following industry recognized certifications (earning the certifications are highly encouraged but not required for program completion).
